This summer classic is a coming-of-age sports comedy that follows a group of young baseball players on the neighborhood sandlot during the summer of 1962. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence and they have to retrieve it from “The Beast,” a legendary and fearsome dog living behind the fence.
