MTB Glee: College A Cappella Competition

For the 10th year in a row, award-winning college a cappella performers from the Mid-Atlantic region will compete for the championship title on Saturday, April 18th at the Carlisle Theatre. This competition will showcase selected competitive a cappella groups from colleges on the east coast!

West Shore Symphony Orchestra presents the concert “Change”

The February 9th program begins with Beethoven’s Overture to Fidelio, a work with dramatic stylistic shifts.  The WSSO then joins many orchestras in performing, celebrating, and recognizing the significance of romantic African American composer Florence Price.  We’ll offer two movements from Price’s Symphony No. 3.  (Sponsored in part by a grant from WPA.)

West Shore Symphony Orchestra (WSSO) Presents a family concert for families with children of all ages, but especially aimed at ages 3-7, “Symphonic Weather Radio Show” featuring works by Beethoven, Elgar, and a Medley from Disney’s “Frozen”.  The WSSO will be partnering with the String Orchestra from Mechanicsburg Area Middle School under the direction of LaShae Willitts.  “Symphonic Weather Radio Show” is an original concert drama written by Jennifer Sacher Wiley, produced by Maestro Wiley and WSSO Education Director Martha Palmquist.  No ticket required, doors open 9:15, free and open to public.
